A brief history of the lucky cookie

The story of the lucky cookie surprisingly begins eight hundred years ago with the figure of Genghis Khan, the great Mongol warrior who, by extending the borders of his empire throughout Asia, has dominated much of China. This domain became over a century, even when, by weakening their dominator, the Chinese people began their struggle for freedom.

For years battles have been fought. Feeling close to victory, the Chinese elaborated the strategy of the attack that would finally lead them to the reconquest of their territory. This was magnificently planned but there was still a question remaining: how to convey it to the numerous armies scattered around numerous fronts without it falling into the domain of terrible Mongols?

There was a candy called the "moon cake" whose flavor was hated by the Mongols. Using this, the Chinese put the plans inside these cakes that were sent to all generals.

Through this action the Chinese people regained their autonomy, starting the Ming Dynasty (the same, famous for their porcelain) and, to celebrate this achievement, annually the Chinese began to exchange messages of congratulations just as the secret messages were sent, within what can be called "Bolinhos da Vitória".
